In the summer of 2019, I made my Off-Broadway debut in BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER, directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner, and written by Tony nominee Joe Iconis, Lance Rubin, and Jason "SweetTooth" Williams.
While at Penn State, I originated three roles in new works through Penn State's New Musicals Initiative. The first was Rat in Joe Iconis' LOVE IN HATE NATION, which I got to revisit in its World Premiere at Two River Theater (directed by John Simpkins and choreographed by Mayte Natalio). Another opportunity to play came in THE LUCKY BOY by Kirsten Childs, where I got to sing some incredible music as Almastasa. Most recently, I worked on my class's commission piece, NOSTALGIA NIGHT, with music and lyrics by Matthew McCollum and book by Sofya Levitsky-Weitz. Other projects include Norma in HANDS ON A HARDBODY, and Pilar in LEGALLY BLONDE, directed and choreographed by Christine O'Grady.
In addition to performing, I am a writer and choreographer! In 2018, I co-wrote RESULTS WILL VARY, an original musical for Penn State University's New Student Orientation (NSO). The show has been performed for over 6,000 incoming students over the past four summers. I have also spent several summers choreographing dances for the City of Orlando's annual showcase competition. My choreography for Dover Shores Community Center won first place for three consecutive years!
Both on and off-stage, my Filipino roots are incredibly important to me. I served as Co-Cultural Director of the Penn State Filipino Association and directed a cultural showcase titled Barrio Fiesta: Crazy Rich Filipinos in April 2019. The show centered around the celebration of Filipino culture, heritage, and community.
I am an artist who is passionate about creating work that prides itself in inclusivity and creativity, always looking to bring myself into the work.
